Installing MagicDots ShowMe and Mechanical System into Tradestation

Make sure you have already downloaded and imported MagicDots into Tradestation.

Setting Up Your Chart for MagicDots.

To install the new version of MagicDots you must first create a chart with TWO sets of data on it. This is required to allow for the option of automatic trading of the E-mini S&P.

• Create a chart and insert your first symbol.
  Note: Unless you plan to automatically trade the Emini then this symbol should be either SPH05.P or @SP.P. If you do plan to trade automate trading for the Emini, then this symbol should be ESH05.D.

• Insert a second symbol (this is Data2) on the same chart and set  it as "hidden"..
  Note: This symbol MUST BE either SPH05.P or @SP.P.

Inserting MagicDots ShowMe.

Step 1: In TradeStation, highlight the chart that you want to insert the MagicDots ShowMe. Then select the "Insert" menu and select "Insert ShowMe". Highlight the file "MagicDots_ShowMe" and select OK.


Step 2: Now format the ShowMe and insert your passwords (supplied to you by separate email) into password inputs and then select OK.

Inserting MagicDots Strategy.

Step 1: In TradeStation, highlight the chart that you want to insert the MagicDots ShowMe. Then insert the MagicDots mechanical system in exactly the same way. In TradeStation, select the "Insert" menu and select "Insert Strategy". Highlight the file "MagicDots_MechSys" and select OK.


Step 2: Now format the Strategy and insert your passwords (supplied to you by separate email) into password inputs and then select OK.
